David Rubin

David Rubin has extensive experience in the field of intellectual property law. David currently serves as the Vice President of Intellectual Property at Mirati Therapeutics since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer Inc. for 13 years, starting in 2007 as a Senior Corporate Counsel and leaving in July 2020. Before joining Pfizer, they worked at Merck & Co., Inc. as an Assistant Patent Counsel from 2003 to 2007. David began their legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP as a Senior Associate, specializing in patent litigation, prosecution, and IP counseling. David worked at the firm from 2000 to 2003. Prior to this, they held positions at Jones Day and Curtis Morris and Safford PC as an Associate. David also served in the US Army as a Captain from 1993 to 1996.

David Rubin earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Penn State University in 1989. David then went on to receive a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, with honors (cum laude), from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law in 1992. In 2017, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology with a concentration in regulatory affairs from The Johns Hopkins University.
