Denise Hanly Bruns

Denise Hanly Bruns has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on oncology clinical development and operations. Denise is currently the Senior Vice President of Integrative Sciences at Mirati Therapeutics. Prior to that, they worked as an oncology clinical development consultant for Mirati Therapeutics and Bruns Consulting Group.

Denise also held various leadership roles at Pfizer, including Oncology Therapeutic Area Head, where they were responsible for global clinical development, clinical operations, and regulatory submissions for over 100 ongoing sponsored trials. Denise led teams across multiple indications, including immune-oncology, breast, prostate, GI, hematology, and pediatrics.

Before joining Pfizer, Bruns worked at Omnicare Clinical Research as the Vice President of Project Management, overseeing project leaders and managers in multiple therapeutic areas. Denise supported business development and provided technical leadership for various sponsors.

Denise began their career at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, where they held roles of increasing responsibility in clinical research and regulatory affairs. During their tenure, they contributed to health authority interactions and conducted clinical programs to support registration and post-marketing commitments.

Denise Hanly Bruns has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Outcomes Research, Epidemiology & Biostatistics from Saint Louis University. Additionally, they hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from National University. Denise also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology & Chemistry from San Diego State University.
