Thian Kheoh

VP, Biometrics at Mirati Therapeutics

Dr. Thian Kheoh, Ph.D., joined Mirati in September 2019. He brings 30 years of clinical development and clinical trial experience in the biopharmaceutical industry to his current role as Vice President of Biometrics. Prior to Mirati, his expertise in the field grew during his time at Warner Lambert-Parke Davis, TAP, Biogen-IDEC, Cougar Biotechnology, Janssen and Tocagen, taking on roles of increasing responsibility. His work focused on exploring the application of statistical methodologies in preclinical and clinical studies, introducing novel statistical principles to trial design.

As the architect and head of drug development biometrics teams, Dr. Kheoh helped pave the way for numerous successful global regulatory submissions and approvals of products that include Darzalex®, Omnicef, Sylvant®, Velcade®, Yondelis®, Zytiga®, Erleada® and the label expansion of Rituxan®. Before joining the world of biopharmaceuticals, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and led research projects as an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Kheoh earned his Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Manitoba in Canada. He has co-authored more than 50 publications in peer reviewed journals.
