Nina Winter

Nina Winter has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nina began their career in 2004 as a Research Scientist at the Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Bremen. After two years, they joined alcedo biotech GmbH as a Research Scientist, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, they transitioned to a role as the Technical Manager at EXIST Forschungstransfer miRdetect, affiliated with the University of Bremen, where they stayed until 2015. Finally, in 2015, they became the CEO of mir|detect, a position they currently hold.

Nina Winter has a diverse education history. Nina obtained their Diplom degree in International Studies of Technical and Applied Biology, with a focus on Industrial Biology, from HSB Hochschule Bremen – City University of Applied Sciences. Nina attended this institution from 1999 to 2004.

In 2001 and 2002, Nina studied Biology, specifically General Biology, at The University of Salford. During the same period, they also conducted research at the Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) in Groningen, Netherlands, focusing on "Native starch degrading enzymes from Paenibacillus." However, they did not receive a specific degree from these institutions.

Later, from 2005 to 2012, Nina pursued their doctoral degree, Dr. rer. nat., in Biology, with a general specialization, at the University of Bremen. Throughout their education, Nina has demonstrated a strong passion and dedication to the field of Biology.
