Enno Klussmann

Scientific Advisor at Mironid

Dr. Klussmann is currently a group leader at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) Berlin, Germany, and is internationally renowned for his work on cAMP signalling in the kidney. He has made major contributions to the understanding of how the hormone, vasopressin modulates diuresis through cAMP-regulated trafficking of aquaporin-2 (AQP2) water channels. He is also renowned for his work on uncovering novel cAMP signalling complexes involving cAMP-dependent protein kinase-A (PKA), defining the interfaces between components of such complexes, and exploiting such knowledge in programs aimed at developing potential therapeutics through the use of novel screens to identify small molecule disruptors of specific protein-protein interactions.
