Desiree M. has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Desiree currently holds the position of President and CEO at Mirror, Inc since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Kansas Prevention Collaborative Steering Committee starting in August 2017.

Desiree's previous experience at Mirror includes holding the position of Vice President of Prevention Services, where they were responsible for mobilizing community sectors to address underage drinking and drug use through coalition-building, education, strategic planning, and leading evidence-based processes. Desiree also oversaw Mirror's positive youth development program, STAND, and maintained connections with other Kansas coalitions for collaboration on prevention projects. Desiree served as a Trainer at Mirror from August 2018 to July 2022.

In 2018, they received the Kansas Prevention Community Leader Award from the Kansas Prevention Collaborative.

Desiree's earlier work experience includes being a Youth Development Specialist at Mirror from September 2004 to August 2011. Desiree provided prevention education and programing for youth in Harvey County and delivered Botvin LifeSkills Teacher Trainings in five Kansas counties. Desiree also participated in the University of Washington's research project, training Reno County.

Prior to Mirror, Desiree worked as a Parent Educator in the Parents As Teachers program at USD 373,440,460 from July 1992 to August 2004.

Desiree M. attended Hesston College, where they studied nursing.
