Alex Ramamurthy has held a variety of roles in the technology and social care sectors. In 2010, they began working for Incahoot Ltd as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, and Market Analyst. In 2015, they joined SpeakSet as employee number two, taking on the role of Business Development Consultant. In 2016, they founded VolunteerReady, a volunteer recruitment platform for charities, and also became CEO of The Care Workers Charity. In 2017, they became Chairman of Care Innovation Hub, a platform for innovators seeking to transform social care. In 2019, they joined the Startup Leadership Program as a Fellow and Programme Co-Lead, and also became Impact & Innovation Committee Member at Turn2us. Finally, in 2020, they founded Mirthy, an award-winning technology platform serving the needs of those 60+ in the UK. Mirthy was launched with venture capital investors, and Ramamurthy was a winner of the Tech To Connect Challenge run by NESTA and DCMS with a £100,000 prize. Alex was also a graduate of the University of Cambridge Social Ventures Incubator and Thrive: Solutions for an ageing society accelerator from UnLtd.
Alex Ramamurthy attended Dulwich College from 1995 to 2006, where they studied A-levels in Business Studies, ICT, Ancient Alex'story and Mathematics. Alex then attended the University of Surrey from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Entrepreneurship in Technology, Business & I.T.
