Claire Dacombe

Claire Dacombe has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the life sciences industry. Claire started their career at Genetix in 2009 as an Application Specialist, where they worked until 2011. Following their time at Genetix, they joined Molecular Devices as an Application Specialist and worked there from 2011 to 2017.

In 2017, Claire joined Horizon Discovery, first as an APAC Business Manager, then as the Director of Asia Pacific Sales, and eventually as the Director of Asia Pacific and Global Distribution. During their time at Horizon Discovery, they played a crucial role in establishing the company's commercial presence in the APAC region, including China and Japan. This involved setting up regional offices, hiring teams, and establishing a network of distributors.

In 2021, Claire joined Astrea Bioseparations Ltd as the Vice President for Asia Pacific. Claire held this position until 2022 when they transitioned to Mirus Bio LLC as the Vice President for Asia Pacific. In their current role at Mirus Bio, they are responsible for the commercial strategy and management in Asia Pacific, specifically in China. This includes overseeing the sales and distribution of cutting-edge transfection reagents, electroporation products, and virus production and transduction products.

Throughout their career, Claire has demonstrated their expertise in commercial strategy, team management, and establishing strong networks and partnerships in the life sciences industry.

Claire Dacombe obtained their PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol from 2002 to 2005.
