John Kracum's work experience begins in 2008 as an Energy Analyst at the Center for Energy and Environment. John worked in this role from September 2008 to March 2011.

In 2012, John served as an Extern to Judge Kimberly Mueller at the United States District Court from May to July.

From 2013, they worked as a Legal Intern at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where they held this position from May to August.

In 2014, John joined DLA Piper as an Associate in their Corporate and Securities practice. John focused on venture financing, corporate organization, and mergers & acquisitions. John drafted and reviewed contracts in deals raising over $500 million via equity sales for early-stage clients. John also assisted in buy and sell side equity and asset sales. John worked at DLA Piper from October 2014 to October 2016.

Starting in October 2017, John began their tenure at Misfits Gaming Group as the Vice President and General Counsel. John handled business development and legal oversight for the Misfits Gaming and Florida Mayhem esports organization. In December 2018, they became the President of Mayhem & Mutineers, a role they held until November 2021. As of November 2021, they are serving as the Chief Gaming Officer at Misfits Gaming Group.

John Kracum completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geology at Carleton College, from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, attending from 2011 to 2014.
