Nicholas Ardavin has worked in a variety of roles in the field of robotics and software engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Robotics Software Engineer at Miso Robotics. In 2020, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Miso Robotics, where they developed interfacing drivers to allow for real-time synchronized control of a robotic arm and the linear rail it is mounted on. Additionally, they were a Teaching Assistant for Caltech's Introduction to Robotics course, where they held office hours, wrote and graded assignments, and helped run lectures. In 2019, they were a Site Reliability Engineering Intern at Everbridge, where they developed a command line-based interface to interact with Jira for workflow tracking and acted as a Scrum Master. In 2018, they were a Computer Vision Research Intern at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they designed and developed a vision pipeline using Python and OpenCV to track the motion of clouds in the upper atmosphere of Venus.
Nicholas Ardavin attended Caltech from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
