Michael R. Brand, CPA has over 35 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Michael R. began their career in 1984 as a Senior Internal Auditor for Mark Twain Bancshares, Inc. In 1987, they moved to Edison Brothers Stores Inc. as a Manager of Budgeting and Financial Analysis. In 1997, Michael joined SLP Capital as a Sr. Vice President of Finance & Accounting, where they oversaw accounting and financial operations and helped scale the organization from 19 employees with $80M in assets to 120 employees with over $450M in assets. In 2003, they became the Principal of Brand and Associates, where they provided turnaround, startup, and business due diligence services on behalf of the life/safety industry. Most recently, Michael has been the Corporate Controller of Miss Elaine Inc. since 2007, where they are a key member of the senior leadership team and holds responsibility for controllership services including internal controls management, general ledger maintenance, timely financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP, accounts receivable/payable management, financial planning and analysis, inventory, treasury, and human resource management. Michael R. also provides executive analysis and support to the Company Officers and Board of Directors.

Michael R. Brand, CPA holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting and Finance from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Michael R. also holds a Certificate of Completion in Digital Marketing Strategies: Data, Automation, AI & Analytics from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management - Executive Education, obtained in August 2020, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Missouri.
