José A. Quiñonez is the CEO of Mission Asset Fund, a nonprofit organization focused on assisting financially excluded communities, particularly low-income and immigrant families, since September 2007. In addition to this role, José serves as a member of the Community Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Board and the Advisory Committee on Racial Equity for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. José also holds advisory positions with U.S. Bank, Capital One, and Experian. Previously, José was the inaugural chair of the Consumer Advisory Board at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and chair of the Advisory Council at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. José's academic contributions include serving as a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and holding degrees in Public Affairs and Chicano Studies from Princeton University and the University of California, Davis, respectively.
