Matteo Cattaneo

Matteo Cattaneo has a diverse work experience spanning various scientific roles. Matteo is currently employed at Mission Bio as a Field Application Scientist since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Molecular Devices, where they held the positions of European Application Scientist - Imaging from 2019 to 2022, and European Technical Support Specialist from 2016 to 2019. Before joining Molecular Devices, Matteo worked at Institut Albert Bonniot, Université Joseph Fourier as a Research Project (PhD) from 2011 to 2015. Their research focused on RNA and histone chaperone-based gene silencing in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Additionally, Matteo gained experience as a Master Intern at Epigenetics and Cell Fate in Paris, France from 2010 to 2011.

Matteo Cattaneo has an extensive education history in the field of biology. Starting in 2001, they attended Liceo Scientifico Paolo Frisi Monza for their secondary education. Following that, from 2006 to 2009, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biologia/Scienze biologiche at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. Matteo then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Molecular Biology through a double degree program from 2009 to 2011.

In 2010, Matteo participated in a double-degree international program, earning a Master of Genetics degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Université Paris Cité. Matteo further pursued higher education at Université Grenoble Alpes, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology, specializing in the field of Molecular Biology and Epigenetics. This was attained from 2011 to 2015.

Additionally, in 2016, Matteo obtained certification in Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Elementary from Duolingo.
