Shawn Clouthier has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Shawn started their career at ACORD, Inc., where they served as a Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for managing the total quality system for a tier-one automotive parts supplier. Shawn ensured compliance with government and environmental regulations and provided ISO/QS9000 training and consulting.

From there, Shawn joined the University of Michigan as an Experimental Bone Marrow Transplantation Laboratory Manager. Shawn managed finances, quality systems, and human resources for the laboratory while also conducting their own research on repifermin in murine BMT models.

Afterward, they took on the role of Experimental Breast Cancer Research Senior Supervisor at the University of Michigan. In this position, they managed the quality operating system for the Experimental Breast Cancer Research Laboratories and oversaw multiple research projects. Currently, Shawn works at Mission Bio, where they are the Field Applications Scientist Manager. Shawn provides scientific support to researchers and clinicians interested in high-throughput single-cell genomic analyses. Their responsibilities include educating, training, and supporting customers on Mission Bio's droplet-based instrumentation and software analysis.
