Eric Wester is a retired Lutheran Pastor and Chaplain currently engaged in graduate teaching, chaplaincy, and pastoral leadership work with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since October 2025. Wester has a diverse background in chaplaincy, having served with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from September 2020 to September 2025, and held positions such as Stated Supply Pastor at St John's Lutheran Church, Lead for Community Education and Training at Ligon-Forrest, LLC, and Director of Federal Chaplaincy Ministries for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Additionally, Wester has experience in higher education as an Adjunct Faculty and Project Director at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and as a Senior Fellow at National Defense University, along with significant contributions to organizations such as Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Strategic Studies from US Army War College and a Master’s in Theology from New Brunswick Theological Seminary.
