Lola Trovao

Lola Trovao is the current Chief Human Resources Officer at Mission Neighborhood Health Center. Prior to that, they were the Director of HR/Talent at First Place for Youth from September 2019 to December 2021. Before that, they were the Director, Human Resources at Vino Volo from November 2016 to September 2019.

Lola Trovao is a senior HR leader with experience in managing recruitment, benefits, employee relations, union negotiations and CBA management, compensation, training, leadership development, succession planning, HRIS, and regulatory compliance. Lola has a proven track record of leading through coaching, collaboration, and mentoring.

Trovao has also established herself as an effective problem-solver and trusted knowledge and operational leader throughout their career. Lola has driven HR operational revision essential to expansion to additional locations in US and Canada.

Lola Trovao has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Golden Gate University and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Napa Valley College. Lola is also certified as an SPHR from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.

They are on a team with Fernando Gomez-Benitez - Deputy Director, Terry Giovannini - Director of Clinical Operations and Quality Improvement, and Janet Lee - Director of Optometry. Their manager is Brenda Storey, Executive Director.
