Betsy Charles has a diverse work experience in the veterinary field. Betsy currently serves as the Vice President of Learning and Leadership Development at Mission Veterinary Partners. Prior to this role, they were the Vice President of Medical Excellence at the same company. Before joining Mission Veterinary Partners, Betsy held the position of Executive Director at the Veterinary Leadership Institute for eight years. Earlier in their career, they worked at Western University of Health Sciences as an Assistant Professor and Instructor/Radiology Resident.

Betsy Charles has an extensive educational background. Betsy first attended Washington State University from 1990 to 1996, where they earned two Bachelor of Science degrees. Their degrees were in Biology and Physical Education/Athletic Training. In 1999, they went on to further their education at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2003. Later, from 2007 to 2009, Betsy pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University.
