Chris Ryle has a diverse work experience. Chris started their career at the Gulfport Police Department in 1998, where they served as the Chief of Police for 24 years until 2022. During this time, they also worked as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard Reserves from 2002 to 2019. In 2016, they began teaching as an Adjunct Professor at both Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and William Carey University, holding these positions until 2018. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Safety and Security at the Mississippi Aquarium, a position they took up in 2022.
Chris Ryle's education history includes a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from American Military University. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts degree at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Chris then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Southern Mississippi, with a focus on Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration. Additionally, they pursued studies in Criminal Justice/Police Science at The University of Southern Mississippi. In terms of certifications, Chris obtained a certificate in "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in September 2020.
