Soham Ghosh

Soham Ghosh is an AI Research Scientist at Mistral AI, specializing in multimodal models since August 2024. Prior to this role, Ghosh worked at Google from June 2019 to August 2024 as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on the training of multimodal embedding models and enhancing vision encoders through self and language supervision. Ghosh's experience also includes a position as a Software Engineer at Google, concentrating on action recognition and localization for video search. From January 2018 to May 2019, Ghosh served as a Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University, improving sample efficiency in meta-reinforcement learning. Earlier roles included Graduate Teaching Assistant positions in both Introduction to Deep Learning and Introduction to Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University. Ghosh completed a Master of Science in Computational Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in the Renaissance Engineering Programme at Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
