Shabnam Haghzare

Shabnam Haghzare is an experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as an Advisor for Major Accounts and National AI Lead at Mitacs since July 2023. Previously, Shabnam held the position of AI Consultant and postdoctoral researcher at the Institut national de santé publique du Québec from 2022 to 2023. Shabnam's prior experience includes a doctoral researcher role at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute from September 2016 to June 2022, where participation in the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Rehabilitation Team and the Multisensory Integration in Virtual Environment Lab occurred. Additionally, Shabnam was affiliated with prestigious institutions such as the Vector Institute, Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society, and Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute in various research and teaching capacities. Shabnam holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
