Thanh Tu Nguyen

Thanh Tu Nguyen has extensive work experience in various software development roles. They started their career as a Software Developer at Nortel Montreal in 1995, where they designed and implemented middle-ware in C++ for a voice mail auto attendant product. They also worked on a Corporate Name Dialling prototype in a UNIX environment.

In 1999, Nguyen moved to Hummingbird as a Software Developer, where they designed and implemented Open Host Interface Object and OLE Automation for Host Explorer using Visual Studio C++. They also completed and debugged Host Explorer features.

In 2000, Nguyen joined Nortel Ottawa as a Software Developer, where they designed and implemented a TAPI call server and a GUI client using Visual Studio C++ and Java. They worked on projects interacting with Nortel Business Communication Manager.

From 2001 to 2016, Nguyen served as a Senior Software Developer at Mitel, where they designed and implemented various web services, computer telephone interfaces, and CSTA SIP servers. They also played a key role in designing and developing microservices and REST APIs for the Mitel CloudLink platform.

In 2016, Nguyen took on the role of Lead Software Developer, Cloud Technology Services at Mitel, taking ownership of microservices and designing a DynamoDB-based rate limiter for Lambda functions.

Thanh Tu Nguyen earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Systems with Distinction from Concordia University between 1992 and 1995. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including Advanced Rust: Managing Projects and Rust Essential Training from LinkedIn, as well as certifications in Amazon Web Services: Data Analytics, Learning Data Analytics, Big Data Foundations: Techniques and Concepts from LinkedIn. Thanh Tu has also completed TypeScript Essential Training from Lynda.com and earned a Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance in January 2016.
