Vindana Warnasooriya

Vindana Warnasooriya has extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. From 2016 to the present, they have worked at MillenniumIT ESP as the Head of Software Engineering and Director, leading the team in setting strategies, expanding business, managing software development, and driving new product design and go-to-market strategies. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2022, they were an Associate Architect at MillenniumIT ESP, where they established and aligned the technical vision of the software team, managed projects, provided technical guidance, and led product development. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer, focusing on development, testing, and automation supporting for document parsers and coordinating worldwide releases. Earlier in their career, they held roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Creative Solutions, Exilesoft (Pvt) Limited, and Navantis, where they were responsible for various software development and technical leadership activities.

Vindana Warnasooriya obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computing & Information Systems from London Metropolitan University, which they attended from 2004 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Pg. Dip. in Management of Technology at the University of Moratuwa, from 2009 to 2010.
