Jean Lin

Jean Lin is a Principal Scientist at Astellas Pharma since April 2024, with a rich background in scientific research spanning various positions. Previously, Jean held roles at Mitobridge, Inc., progressing from Scientist I to Senior Scientist between August 2018 and March 2024, and contributed as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University School of Medicine from March 2015 to August 2018, studying adipose tissue remodeling and metabolic disease. Prior experiences include postdoctoral work at Houston Methodist, where Jean investigated the effects of thyroid hormone receptor agonists on thermogenesis, and graduate research at the University of Houston focusing on cholesterol metabolism. Early career development occurred at UCSF, examining isoform selective actions of thyroid hormone receptors. Jean earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Houston and a BS in Chemistry from the University of San Francisco.
