Alex Koppenaal

Alex Koppenaal currently serves as the Head of Health Safety & Wellbeing at Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited since November 2023. Prior to this role, Alex held various positions at Humes - a member of the Fletcher Building Group, including National Quality & Compliance Manager and National EHSSQ Manager from August 2019 to October 2023. Alex's career in health and safety began at Placemakers, where significant contributions were made as National Health & Safety Manager, Health and Safety Advisor, and H&S Coordinator from October 2004 to January 2017. Additionally, earlier experiences include roles at Calvary Chapel Auckland, both as Staff managing the Bookstore and Sunday School and as a Ministry Intern. Alex completed education at Birkenhead College from 2001 to 2005.
