Dhanuj Mount Gandikota

Dhanuj Mount Gandikota is a Senior Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer at MITRE, leading AI integration projects within climate and environmental systems since July 2021. Notable roles include serving as Principal Investigator for the ART3MIS-AI System focused on autonomous tactical forestry and wildfire mitigation, and Technical Lead for the ADAPT System, which extracts features from ML-driven downscaled climate models. Prior experience includes positions as a Machine Learning Researcher at the University of Michigan, where Dhanuj published a significant open-source R package and directed a project on consumer contaminant mapping, as well as roles at RXA, GHD, and Michigan Medicine Computer Aided Diagnosis Laboratory. Dhanuj holds a PhD in Computational Ecology & Geosciences from The University of Texas at Austin and multiple Bachelor of Science degrees in Data Science, Computer Science, and Ecology from the University of Michigan.
