Zachary Shattler

Zachary Shattler is currently a Senior ASIC Engineer at MITRE, a position held since September 2025. Previously, Zachary worked at The Aerospace Corporation from June 2018 to August 2025, where responsibilities included coordinating laboratory tests, advising on low-power ASIC and microelectronics hardware security design, and leading R&D projects focused on AI/ML applications. Zachary progressed through various technical roles at The Aerospace Corporation, including Senior Member of Technical Staff, Member of Technical Staff, and Associate Member of Technical Staff, all emphasizing FPGA firmware development and microelectronics acquisition. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, where Zachary also served as an Engman Fellow from January 2016 to May 2018.
