Matthew Anderson

Matthew Anderson has extensive experience in corporate communications and sustainability, currently serving as Deputy General Manager at Mitsubishi Corporation since September 2014. In this role, Matthew has held multiple titles, including Manager of Corporate Communications & Sustainability and Manager of Corporate Sustainability. Prior to this, Matthew coordinated programs for the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations from August 2011 to August 2014, managing aspects of the JET Program and providing training in cross-cultural communication. Matthew's background includes work for the Okinawa Prefectural Government, where responsibilities included translation, interpretation, and advising JET Program participants. Matthew began a career in education as an Assistant Language Teacher with the Okinawa Prefectural Board of Education, creating lesson plans and engaging with local educators. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Rice University, with additional studies at Sophia University.
