Sameer Khurana

Sameer Khurana is an AI Research Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories since June 2023, previously serving as a Doctoral Researcher at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory from September 2017 to May 2023, focusing on transfer learning methods, cross-lingual learning, and automatic speech recognition. Sameer also interned at Facebook AI and Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, developing self-supervised learning methods and unsupervised domain adaptation techniques. A research associate at Qatar Computing Research Institute, contributions included advancements in automatic speech recognition for the Arabic language. Sameer began a career in technology as a Business Technology Analyst at Deloitte Consulting. Education includes a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from MIT, a Master’s from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Communications from Delhi College of Engineering.
