Toru Matsui

Toru Matsui is the Chief Operating Officer of the Energy Solutions Business Unit at Mitsui. Toru has over twenty years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Matsui began their career at Mitsui in 1990, working in the Qatar LNG department. In 1996, they transferred to North West Shelf Australia LNG Pty Ltd as the LNG Marketing Manager. Toru remained there for three years before returning to Mitsui in 1999 as a Business Development Manager in the Exploration & Production division.

In 2002, Matsui was promoted to their current position. Under their leadership, the Energy Solutions Business Unit has become one of the most successful divisions at Mitsui.

Toru Matsui graduated from Keio University with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Political Science. Toru also attended 8 years of Elementary School and Junior High School in the US, in Pittsburgh, PA and Greenwich, CT.

Their manager is Tatsuo Yasunaga, President & CEO.
