Joseph Marrocco has had a varied and successful career in the medical device industry. In 2022, they began working as the Director of Program Management at MIVI Neuroscience, Inc, where they are responsible for Program Management leadership in the areas of new product development, released product, clinical, commercial and high-performance managements systems (HPMS). From 2007 to 2010, they worked at CSRC-San Diego State University, where they held various roles, including NIH Fellow - FEM Design and Analysis Engineer, Senior Project - Prototype Assistive Knee Brace, and Assistant Researcher. In these roles, they developed 3D finite element models, designed and manufactured a multi-angular and variable braking medical knee brace, and conducted cardiovascular biomechanics research.

Joseph Marrocco obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Biomechanics from the University of California, Davis in 2011, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bioengineering from San Diego State University. Joseph also holds certifications in Custom Risk Management from Management Concepts Inc. (2017), Certified Project Management from Project Management Institute (2016), Project Management Methodology and Leadership from PMI R.E.P. (2015), Green Belt - Design For Reliability and Manufacturing from Medtronic (2014), Certified Solidworks Professional - CSWP from Solidworks (2013), Mimics Cardiovascular Certification from Materialise (2013), and GD&T Intermediate Principles and Advanced Applications from the International Institute of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (2012).
