Emily Hackel is a strategic communication and marketing consultant with extensive experience in building brand reputation and driving growth across various industries. Currently freelancing since June 2024, Emily also actively contributes as a community member of Mixing Board, supporting fellow marketing and communication leaders. Previously, Emily served as Vice President, Head of Marketing and Communications, and Vice President, Head of Communications at Papa, where responsibilities included leading integrated marketing and communications initiatives. Prior roles at Elevance Health involved directing corporate reputation efforts and managing significant campaigns. Emily has held leadership positions at McKinsey & Company and Edelman, where a focus on healthcare communication and thought leadership was paramount. Emily’s educational background includes a BA in International Relations and History from Columbia University.
