Paul Armitage has extensive work experience in the field of geology and mineral exploration. Paul began their career in 1996 as an independent geologist, working with various institutions until 2007. From 2002 to 2008, they served as a geologist and geotechnical engineer at London Bridge Associates. Paul then worked as a senior geologist at NunaMinerals A/S from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Mkango Resources Ltd. as an operations manager and consultant geologist. Paul later became the Chief Geologist, overseeing the company's drill program and resource upgrading projects. In 2012, they founded their own consulting company, Paul Armitage Consulting Ltd., specializing in geological mapping and target identification for mineral exploration. Paul also worked as a consultant geologist at Signet Mining Services in 2013. From 2015 to 2022, they served as a director at North Atlantic Minerals Ltd. and as the chief geologist at Norsve Resources AB from 2012 to 2014. Overall, Paul Armitage's work experience focuses on various geological projects, including rare earth deposits in Malawi and Greenland, as well as uranium and gold projects in Chad and Niger.

Paul Armitage began their education in 1989 at UCL, where they obtained a BA(Hons) degree in Scandinavian Studies in 1993. In 1994, they pursued further studies at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, earning both a BSc and an MSc in Geology by 1999. In 1997, Paul attended Western Washington University for one quarter to participate in the Geology Field Camp. Paul'seducational journey concluded in 2011 at the University of Greenwich, where they obtained a PhD in Geology.
