Wanni Xu has extensive experience in the field of sensory science and consumer insights.
Xu started their career in 2003 as a Sensory Technician at Givaudan, where they worked until 2007. From 2008 to 2015, Xu had various roles at Givaudan, including Sensory Panel Leader and Consumer Sensory Insight Project Manager.
In 2017, Xu joined Firmenich as a Sensory & Consumer Insights Scientist until 2019.
They then joined Reckitt in 2019 and held positions such as Regional Sensory Consumer Science Manager (Nutrition Asia) and Global Sensory Consumer Science Manager - Nutrition. From March 2023 until August 2023, Xu served as Global Sensory Consumer Science Manager for Dettol at Reckitt.
Currently, Xu is working as the Sensory Science Director Asia at MMR Research, starting in August 2023.
Wanni Xu's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Singapore Polytechnic and obtained a Diploma in Food Science and Technology in 2003. They continued their studies at the same institution from 2004 to 2006 and obtained an Advanced Diploma in the same field. In 2007, Wanni Xu pursued a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Food Science and Technology at UNSW, completing it in 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Wanni Xu has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they received a Certification in Hal Macfie Preference Mapping and Consumer Statistics. In 2013, they obtained a Certification in Hal Macfie Hands on Rapid Methods to Optimise Product Performance Using the Consumer. Finally, in 2015, they acquired a certification titled "The Nuts and Bolts to Market Research" from the Marketing Institute of Singapore.
