Gavin Kavanagh

Gavin Kavanagh is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Performance Operations Manager at MN8 Energy since January 2023. Previously, Kavanagh held the position of Operations Engineer at Cypress Creek Renewables, where responsibilities included being the primary technical contact for a 534 MW utility-scale photovoltaic plant, developing performance reports, and conducting data analysis to enhance system efficiency. Prior experience includes managing operations projects as O&M Project Manager at Strata Solar, overseeing a 160 MW wind asset portfolio as Site Manager at SSE Renewables, and serving in various roles within wind farm operations and maintenance. Kavanagh holds a Level 7 BSc in Manufacturing Management with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma from IT Sligo and has additional training from the GE Wind Turbine Training Centre and Technological University Dublin.
