Svenja Leggewie

Svenja Leggewie has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design and strategy. Svenja currently holds the position of Director of Design at MO since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a First Mover Fellow at The Aspen Institute starting in June 2019. Svenja also has a significant tenure at Johnson & Johnson, where they served as Director, Insights and Experience Strategy from an unspecified time until January 2023. Svenja also held the role of Design Strategy Director from 2012 to 2016 and from 2008 to 2012. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, they worked as an Associate Creative Director at frog design from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they were the Strategic Director at Rockwell Group from 2003 to 2006 and a Design Strategist at Arnell Group from 2001 to 2002. Svenja's earlier experience includes working as a Culturist at Design Continuum from 1998 to 2001 and as a Designer at Nike Retail Design, Inc. from 1997 to 1998.

Svenja Leggewie has a diverse education history. Svenja participated in a program called Aspen First Movers, where they studied Social Intrapreneurship. Svenja then pursued a Masters of Organization Development at American University, focusing on Applied Behavioral Sciences. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from ArtCenter College of Design. Additionally, Svenja took select courses in Narrative Medicine and Bioethics at Columbia University School of Professional Studies.
