Patrick Smith

Patrick Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Patrick started their career as a Case Manager at Work and Income New Zealand, where they conducted interviews, determined eligibility for financial services, and provided budgeting advice. Patrick then worked as a Senior Service Person at The Wellington Club before becoming a Floor Supervisor at Te Papa National Museum. After that, they served as the Manager at The Wellington Club, overseeing luxury service delivery and leading a team.

In 2017, Patrick transitioned into the field of Business Intelligence, joining Trade Me as a Business Intelligence Developer and later becoming an Insights Analyst Intern. Patrick then moved to Volpara Solutions as a Data Analyst, where they were responsible for developing data products and dashboards using Microsoft Azure's cloud architecture.

Patrick continued to develop their expertise in Business Intelligence at Trade Me Property, where they served as a Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for the ownership of the BI function, including data warehouse development, cloud migration, and the delivery of critical insights using tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Python.

In 2020, Patrick joined Mobi2Go as a Data Lead before transitioning to their current role as a Data Architect at MOBI. As a Data Architect, they provide technical leadership to the Data Engineering and Business Intelligence functions. Patrick'sresponsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining a modern data platform and developing industry-leading data products.
