Yingxiang Y.

Chief Data Scientist, Cofounder at Mobi Systems

Yingxiang Y. started their work experience as a visiting scholar at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH in 2012. In 2014, they had a summer internship at Microsoft. From 2015 to 2015, they worked as a visiting researcher at FGV, focusing on transportation planning for the Rio Olympics. Starting in 2016, Yingxiang Y. became a senior data scientist and software engineer at Smarking Inc., where they were involved in ETL system design, machine learning model development, and backend micro-services. In 2018, they co-founded Mobi Systems and served as the chief data scientist, contributing to the design of an unstructured document digest pipeline and the development of demand prediction and scheduling optimization models.

Yingxiang Y. pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Southeast University, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. Yingxiang then enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and obtained a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they continued their studies at MIT as a PhD candidate in Transportation Engineering from 2013 to 2016.
