John Thompson

John Thompson has a diverse work experience in the communications and technology industry. John currently holds the position of Vice President of In-Building Wireless Solutions at Mobile Communications America. Prior to that, they served as Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Marketing at the same company. Thompson also worked as an Advisor at Responder Ventures, LLC. John has held various executive roles at Trextel, including Executive Vice President of Sales. Thompson has a long history with Motorola Solutions, where they held multiple Vice President positions, such as leading sales and business development for strategic growth areas and creating solutions for government agencies. John was also the Director of Engineering and the Systems Integration Regional Manager at Motorola. Additionally, Thompson served as a Board Member at TechAmerica, powered by CompTIA.

John Thompson earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Widener University, which they attended from 1982 to 1986. Following this, they pursued further education and completed their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Management Information Systems and Services from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, attending from 1995 to 1998.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, John also obtained certifications to strengthen their professional profile. In 1987, they obtained the Engineer in Training certification from the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers. Furthermore, in 1995, they obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
