Tommie Walker IV, Mph, Ches

Tommie Walker IV, MPH, CHES®, is an Epidemiologist at Mobile County Health Department since July 2020, with a background in public health and medical research. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Assistant at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, where responsibilities involved managing student admissions processes and analyzing survey data. Tommie also completed a Graduate Research Internship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, focusing on genetic association analysis for melanoma susceptibility. Earlier roles encompass positions as a Substitute Teacher, Undergraduate Research Assistant in bioinformatics, and Medical Assistant, where clinical and diagnostic skills were developed. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Sciences degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Tommie holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Tulane University, along with Bachelor's degrees in Biology with a concentration in Genetics and Health Services from the University of South Alabama and The University of Alabama, respectively.
