Remco van Stappershoef has a diverse and extensive work experience. Remco started their career as a Commercial Controller at Dell in 2005, where they were responsible for controlling the Corporate sales channel. Remco then became a Senior Business Planner at Dell, where they were responsible for planning units, revenue, and margin for the Small & Midsized Businesses sales channel in Europe.

After leaving Dell, Remco took a sabbatical leave and embarked on a motorcycle tour through Latin America. This experience led him to start leading adventurous motorcycle tours as a side activity.

Remco also worked as a Manager at Niños de Guatemala, an interim Business Controller at TomTom, and a Project Manager at ETC Foundation. At ETC Foundation, they held various roles, including Project Manager/Senior Consultant for the SESA project, Business Advisor to ENERGIA Network, and Team Leader for the MEET-BIS Vietnam project.

Remco also worked as a Consultant Business Development at ICS Driver of Development, where they supported a project integrating geodata and satellite data for smallholder farmers in East Africa.

Remco's work experience also includes roles at Welthungerhilfe, Hivos - Humanist Organisation for Social Change -, Self-Employed, and Mobile Power. At Mobile Power, they were involved in business strategy and development.

Throughout their career, Remco has focused on enterprise development, commercial viability assessments, and value chain development. Remco has also been involved in projects related to women economic empowerment, gender and energy innovation, and renewable energy services.

Remco van Stappershoef obtained their Master's degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Remco attended the university from 1990 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Remco obtained a certification in "The Age of Sustainable Development" from Coursera in April 2014.
