Nathaniel Fickel

Nathaniel Fickel, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Nathaniel currently serves as the Principal Product Manager at Mobilitas Insurance, where they have been responsible for leading product management initiatives since October 2021. Prior to this, Nathaniel worked as a Senior Product Manager and Product Manager at the same company, contributing to the development and delivery of innovative insurance solutions.

Before joining Mobilitas Insurance, Nathaniel gained extensive experience at USAA, a financial services company. Here, they held various positions, including Development Product Owner Lead, where they led cross-functional teams and collaborated with business and IT stakeholders to develop large-scale business solutions. Nathaniel also worked as a Sr. Development Product Owner, overseeing the P&C Actuary and Analytics pricing portfolio, and as a Development Product Owner, contributing to the implementation of effective solutions.

Additionally, Nathaniel has experience in compliance and underwriting. Nathaniel served as an Underwriting Adherence Advisor at USAA, overseeing compliance for multiple P&C products and driving enterprise-level change across the organization. Nathaniel also worked as a Property Adjuster, gaining expertise in managing property claims and providing training to interns.

Prior to their time at USAA, Nathaniel worked at The Scooter Store as an Advocate Coordinator. In this role, they collaborated with upper management to develop new training processes and materials for the executive complaint team. Nathaniel Fickel, MBA, obtained their Master's Degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government at the same university from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Nathaniel has also obtained certifications in agile product and solution management from Scaled Agile, Inc., including Certified SAFe® 4 Agile Product and Solution Manager in February 2020, and Certified SAFE Product Owner/Product Manager in June 2018.
