Luis Mariano Solano completed their Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica between 1997 and 2000. Luis Mariano then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Quality Control and Safety Technologies/Technicians from Tecnológico de Costa Rica from 2005 to 2007. Luis Mariano furthered their education by obtaining another Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance, General from Tecnológico de Costa Rica from 2008 to 2009.

In addition to their degrees, Luis Mariano Solano has acquired several certifications. In September 2017, they obtained the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. Luis Mariano also became a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner in January 2015 and May 2015, respectively, from the Scrum Alliance. In November 2017, they achieved the Scrum Fundamentals Certified designation from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile. In May 2019, they obtained the ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Team Facilitation ICP-ATF from ICAgile. Most recently, in February 2022, they received the EF SET English Certificate 62/100 (C1 Advanced) from the EF Standard English Test (EF SET) institution.
