Astrid Jahn

Astrid Jahn has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Astrid started their career in 2008 with an internship as a Software Developer at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during term time at The University of Glasgow.

In 2015, Astrid joined Dorset Software Services Limited as a Graduate Programmer and gradually progressed to the roles of Junior Analyst Programmer and Analyst Programmer until 2017. During this time, they gained experience in programming and analysis.

Following this, they worked as a Software Developer at the Hasso Plattner Institute from August 2017 to January 2018, and then joined data4life (formerly Gesundheitscloud) in January 2018 as a Software Developer. Astrid worked there until October 2019, contributing to the development of software products.

Since early 2020, Astrid has been a part of Mobimeo, where they initially started as a Senior Backend Engineer and later transitioned into a full-stack role involving backend and Android development. Astrid has been involved in developing apps for the mobility market, primarily using Scala and Kotlin as the main programming languages.

Astrid Jahn pursued their education in mathematics, starting in 2004 at The University of Edinburgh, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. Astrid then furthered their studies at the University of Cambridge in 2008, completing a Master of Advanced Studies degree in mathematics. Continuing their academic journey, Astrid joined the University of Glasgow in 2009 and successfully earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in mathematics in 2015.
