Grace Yan

Grace Yan has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Grace is currently serving as the Head of Product Line Engineering at Mobimeo, where they provide disciplinary leadership to QA and vertical product teams. Grace works closely with C-level executives, heads, and product management to align on product and tech strategy and roadmap. Grace also directly collaborates with partners and stakeholders to achieve Mobimeo's business goals and fosters a vibrant team culture by coaching and mentoring engineering leads.

Prior to their role at Mobimeo, Grace worked as an Engineering Team Lead at the same company. Grace's earlier work experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Emu, where they led the design and implementation of an NLP-powered chat app on the Android platform and managed prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, site performance, and operational support load. Grace also worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Yahoo!, where they led a team in building the next generation of voice and video platform for real-time communication products and developed and released the Y! Messenger Android Voice and Video app. Additionally, Grace worked at Cisco Systems Inc as a Sr. Software Engineer, contributing to the design and development of a VoIP Push-To-Talk client on Windows and implementing a C/C++ controller infrastructure to interface with the .NET WPF GUI.

Grace Yan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition, they have obtained certifications in "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera and "CELTA Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults" from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
