Paul Piebinga

Co-President at Mobiquity

Paul Piebinga is the Co-President at Mobiquity. Paul has also previously served as the VP Workspace Management Services at Getronics, Managing Director at Achmea GITS, and CIO at Achmea.

Paul took a year off from December 2011 to November 2014 to pursue photography full-time, working with Getty Images in culture, lifestyle, and commercial photography. During this time, they built up a strong portfolio of images.

In May 2008, they joined Getronics and was responsible for the Workspace management division. Paul worked with BCG to realise the merger between KPN and Getronics, and oversaw the carve-out of various departments. Paul also integrated Application Net (Online workspace provider) into Getronics.

During the global financial crisis, they downsized the company but was able to keep it afloat. Paul also spearhead backoffice standardisation projects and the standardisation of the servcie management environment. In addition, they worked with MkKinsey in sales improvement programmes.

From January 2002 to May 2008, they served as the CIO at Achmea. In this role, they were responsible for IT strategy, architecture, and delivery for the Achmea group of companies. Paul also led major transformation programmes such as the outsourcing of the IT infrastructure and applications, and the standardisation and centralisation of IT across the group.

Paul Piebinga pursued a degree in psychology at the Royal Military Academy. After graduation, they continued their studies in psychology, conducting research in the field.
