Modern Chemicals & Services Company Limited (MCS) was established in 2009 as a joint venture, between Modern Chemicals Co. Ltd.,from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and EPC Group, from France. The company operates through two divisions: The first being for explosives manufacture, sales and supply. The second one for blasting advisory services.

Modern Chemicals & Services Company chose strategic locations for its production sites to be close to customers in respective regions. Modern Chemicals & Services Company runs its operations through two production sites; one located at the Western Province which is considered one of the biggest productions sites among EPC Group while the other site is located at the Eastern Province. Both production facilities are producing different range of explosives products, which serve different industries inside the kingdom like; Civil works, Mining, Quarries, and Cement sector. 

The EPC Group was established in 1893. The group’s core activity is that of manufacturing and supplying commercial explosive and tailor-made services to the mining, cement, aggregates and civil engineering industries. The group has expanded into a multinational organization with activities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
