Andrew Ritchey

Senior Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer at Modern Electron

Andrew Ritchey has over fifteen years of experience in the engineering field. In 2007, they began their career at Purdue University as a Graduate Student, researching multi-scale modeling of fiber-reinforced polymer-matrix composite materials. In 2009, they were an Intern at Boeing Research and Technology, where they used numerical methods to analyze composite materials over several length scales. In 2012, they joined Rolls-Royce as a Materials and Process Modeling Engineer. In 2018, they were promoted to Ceramic Matrix Composite Process Modeling Technical Specialist at Rolls-Royce High Temperature Composites. In 2021, they moved to Dr. T Labs as Head Mad Scientist. Currently, they are employed at Modern Electron as a Senior Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer.

Andrew Ritchey obtained their B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Clarkson University between 2005 and 2007. Andrew then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Aeronautical Engineering - Structures at Purdue University, which they completed in 2011.
