Jake Colvin is a highly experienced professional in international trade and innovation, currently serving as President of the National Foreign Trade Council since August 2005, where previous roles included Vice President of Global Trade and Innovation and Director of USA*Engage. Colvin co-founded the Global Innovation Forum in June 2009, holding the position of Executive Director, and founded Modern Fellows in December 2011. Previously, Colvin worked as Government Relations Manager at the International Business Counselors from September 2002 to July 2005, and had earlier roles including Graduate Assistant at the U.S. Department of State and Legal Assistant at Steptoe and Johnson. Colvin's educational background includes a Master of Arts in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Richmond. Additionally, Colvin studied at the University of London in 1999.
