Cherese Corbett has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Cherese started their career as a Yates Ambassador at Virginia Tech Office of Undergraduate Admissions in November 2016, where they worked until May 2017. From August 2017 to May 2019, they served as a Resident Advisor at Virginia Tech Housing and Residence Life.
In June 2018, Cherese interned at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a Research Intern for two months. Cherese then worked as a Structural Adhesives Student Associate at LORD Corporation from May 2019 to August 2019.
Cherese also gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in the Crystallography and Crystal Structure course at Virginia Tech Department of Materials Science and Engineering from August 2019 to December 2019. Simultaneously, they worked as a Lab Assistant in the Modeling and Educational Demonstrations Laboratory at Virginia Tech College of Science from August 2019 to March 2020.
Currently, Cherese is working at Modern Meadow as a Materials Science Research Associate. Cherese started in November 2020 and held this position until April 2022 when they transitioned to the role of Materials Science Research Associate I, which they currently hold.
Cherese Corbett completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech from 2016 to 2020.
