Rachel Bowie

Rachel Bowie is a dedicated psychotherapist currently in private practice at MODERN THERAPY since October 2021. Previously, Rachel served as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at DBT Center Houston from October 2019 to November 2021. Rachel's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Houston Christian University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Before transitioning to psychology, Rachel gained experience as a teacher for Kaplan Test Prep and Varsity Tutors, focusing on college preparation and SAT prep courses in various school districts. Additionally, Rachel interned as a counselor at Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, where intake interviews were conducted for mental health referrals. Earlier professional experience includes working as an associate engineer at Spectra Energy, managing design processes for infrastructure projects.
